Christmas Watercolours & the Middle of the Night Art

Christmas..... I wish you Peace because that is what, a lot of times is lacking with the season upon us.  It gets so BUSY, for me I am creating a lot of art and even in the middle of the night!  Featured below is MONA - my "middle of the night art"  I am painting daily to prepare for the Christmas Craft Sale season and sometimes after painting all day I cannot "shut it off"!  So... nothing for it but to get up and tip toe into the main room of my cabin while my husband peacefully sleeps, switch on my headlamp ( as we live off-grid & there is no power in the middle of the night) and paint little watercolours. Sometimes the moon is my companion on these dark starry nights, sometimes the Northern Lights. Sometimes I even go out onto the stoop and breathe in these awesome sights- so magical!  I have enjoyed revisiting this medium which started when Yukon Artists at Work, my gallery co-op in Whitehorse had a Tea show this fall and I decided to paint some Tazo teabags with watercolour.

PEACE and GOOD WILL TO YOU ALL!
