Sandhill Crane in Flight
Sold
Once again, I will be participating in the Crane and Sheep Viewing Festival held annually in the Town of Faro, Yukon this weekend. People come from all over the Yukon to witness the migration of the Sandhill Cranes and many of the other migrating birds. The Town's Staff work very hard to make this event happen. The festival signals the opening of the Interpretive Centre and RV Park as well. Faro has a population of about 400 people and the community helps out in many ways to make the event happen. For example there is a wild game bbq where town folks donate all the meat (caribou, moose, sheep) to feed up to 300 people at times.
For three days there are continuous events, tours of the sheep viewing sites, intrepretive talks and hikes, bird watching, a community BBQ And of course Art Demos and Displays.
