MY LATEST WORK

This painting is of Rain in the Pelly Mountains on the South Canol Highway at Mount Cook.  I plan to do some more paintings of this area in the next few weeks. My husband Jeff went on a hunting trip a few years back and I have some really nice photo references. This painting will be at my next show at the Chocolate Claim in Whitehorse, Yukon April/2011.

MY NEW BEGINNING

I have decided to start this blog so that I can post my paintings and people can see what I am doing with my art.  It is a way for me to become more productive as an artist and hopefully to share my love of painting with you.

Title: Northwestel Road - Little Salmon Lake
Medium:  Acrylic
Size:  2ftx3ft
(sold)
"This painting was completed a few weeks ago.  This is a beautiful spot on the Robert
Campbell Highway- about half way between Faro and Carmacks.
You can see right down the lake and doesn't  it matter where you look the scenery
is spectacular.

Title:  Impression: The Dempster
Medium:  Mixed Media
Size:  2ftx3ft

This was a "brutal"  work to paint!  I have probably spent a 100 hours on this painting because it was never what I wanted and I kept working it and working it.
There used to be no river and only huge rocks in the front.
The stunted trees came in another session.  The clouds came yet later.
 But it is done now.
The mediums used are:  acrylic and oil pastel.
